Do not Generalise a Sanctioned Precept

Though Buddha sanctioned the Bodhisattva’s precepts of killing, it does not mean all Mahayana practitioners can do this.

It is sanctioned for a person who, in an extreme situation, did this for the sake of saving sentient beings. If you only learn the Bodhisattva’s precepts and have yet to reach the level of receiving a sanction, and those who claim to be Mahayana practitioner, but do not abide by the Bodhisattva’s precepts, even if they have seeming compassion and bodhicitta, are not to commit the act.
