SYPNOSIS
Amid the intense fast pace of modern living, we often find ourselves caught in constant motion, our bodies and minds unconsciously burdened by pressure. Do we not long for a moment of stillness — a brief pause to rest both physically and mentally?
Let us ride on the wings of music, soar with songs of joy, soothe the restlessness within, and rediscover the freedom of our spirit and mind…..
Composer and lyricist Teacher Zhenru creates her insightful praises from inspiration which flows like a clear spring from the heart. With sensitivity and finesse, she paints the rich landscapes of inner emotions and transforms fleeting moments into melodies. Her works range from elegant pentatonic tunes of the East, to rhythmically vibrant pop styles, and even passages imbued with Western influences. At times graceful and tender, at times majestic and grand, her compositions express heartfelt prayers, gratitude and reverence, as well as a deep love, respect, and well-wishes for all living beings.
BW Monastery has long promoted learning through the integration of arts, culture and wisdom with the aim to nurture the holistic growth of body and mind. The monastery now forms the bridge between musicians and music lovers with these profoundly meaningful insightful praises, creating a platform for young local musicians to share the stage with international artists. The aim is to encourage youths to pursue their dreams courageously and to inspire more youths to step beyond the illusionary virtual world and immerse themselves in the beauty of artistic creations, enabling more radiance and strength in their hearts and mind!
